Sheffield High School Marching Band
The Sheffield High School Band consists of The band is under the direction of Dr. Eric Kirkman.
The Sheffield band is under the direction of Dr. Eric Kirkman. This is Dr. Kirkman’s 10th year as band director. During his tenure, the SHS band has accumulated over 180 superior ratings and dozens of “Best in Class” designations at marching contests across the Tennessee Valley. The high-energy and dynamic shows of the “Sound of the Shoals” Marching Band have also earned the band “Most Entertaining Band of the Day” honors at three separate contests over the last two years.
Drum Major: William Grissom
Will is a senior at Sheffield High School. This is Will’s second year as drum major. He is the son of Van and Susan Grissom. Will is also a member of the SHS concert band and jazz ensemble where he plays alto and tenor saxophone.
